Serra Ventures has created the TGIM Workplace Excellence survey and award system which recognizes and celebrates high technology companies that are building a workplace of excellence in Champaign County.
November 2010 marked the launch of the TGIM award program, with the survey being available online throughout the month of November. Three finalist companies, Isotech Laboratories, Cobalt Digital, and OJC Technologies, were selected based on their overall culture of excellence according to their employees’ responses. The winning company was Isotech Laboratories, and was announced and presented the TGIM Workplace Excellence Award on February 24, 2011 at Champaign County Economic Development Corp.’s “Innovation Celebration.” Isotech was awarded a $500 cash prize, $500 to their favorite charity, United Way, and $75 gifts cards to each employee. Tim Hoerr, CEO of Serra Ventures, was the emcee for the event.
