Phinite, a Serra Ag & Food Tech Fund II company, has received support from Serra in its latest funding round. Phinite is creating a better way to make fertilizer by constructing regionally located clusters of its patent pending greenhouse robot system and then contracting this drying capacity to local farmers. Phinite's unique partnership with animal farmers results in regenerative, low-carbon and beautiful fertilizer products that are great for the environment, humanity, and the bottom line.
In October, Phinite announced that it was opening a new manufacturing plant in North Carolina to enhance its capabilities in producing its groundbreaking biofertilizer. In the beginning of January, Phinite was also awarded grant funding from the North Carolina Agricultural Manufacturing and Processing Initiative. Jordan Phasey, CEO of Phinite commented on their recent activity, “Our new facility will not only expand our production capacity but will also allow us to implement cutting-edge technology that aligns with our mission to create sustainably produced fertilizer products from livestock waste. With the support of the NC Department of Agriculture, we are taking an important step toward ensuring that farmers have access to the cutting-edge waste management solutions they need, which in turn we’re able to manufacture into a high-quality, regenerative fertilizer.”
